Kydex® 120 USDA Approved Thermoplastic
Sheet Kydex 120 acrylic/PVC sheet is approved by the
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for use in meat and
poultry producing plants where there might be incidental food contact
with the Kydex 120 sheet. This high performance thermoplastic sheet
is available in gauges from 0.028" (.71mm) and up, in standard
and custom gauges, and in white or beige colors.
SUGGESTED USES
• High Impact Resistant Wallcovering
• Push Plates and Kick Plates
• Equipment Housings
• Splash and Safety Guards
FEATURES
FIRE RETARDANCY - Kydex 120 meets class I/A
fire codes up to 0.050" (1.27mm) gauge when used as a protective
wallcoverings and meets UL Standard 94 V-0/5V fire ratings in all
thicknesses, the highest listing for flame retardant plastic components.
DURABILITY - Tough, impact and scratch resistant,
Kydex 120 will provide years of service when formed into plastic
components or used as a wallcovering.
CLEANABILITY - In food processing environments
where cleanliness is essential, Kydex 120 is more resistant to a
wider range of cleaners than other thermoplastics. It also resists
staining from foodstuffs.
FABRICATION
Excellent forming properties result in uniform wall thicknesses
and crisp detail, plus easy machining and fabricating using conventional
methods, further expanding finished part possibilities.
